About me
Likhith Dorbala is a pianist, composer, singer-songwriter, and music educator from Hyderabad, India, with over 20 years of experience in music and live performance. Having started his musical journey at the age of five, Likhith has performed extensively as a pianist and backing vocalist across India and internationally, including tours across the United States, Canada, and Australia. As a child, he performed in over 200 shows and was featured on ETV for a blindfolded keyboard performance. His musical journey has also earned him recognition from Padma Vibhushan Dr Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, Padma Bhushan Dr Nookala Chinasatyanarayana, and composer Mickey J. Meyer.
As a singer-songwriter and independent artist, Likhith creates contemporary music that blends Western musical influences like modern-pop, reggae, jazz & blues elements with Indian sounds. His original songs include “Unfair,” “Kaalam,” and “Scroll Chey Bro,” with more original music on the way. His songwriting explores everyday experiences, emotions, social observations, and the lighter, more playful side of life.
As a composer, Likhith has completed the Professional Certificate in Film Scoring & Orchestration for Film & TV from Berklee Online, developing his skills in composition, orchestration, and scoring for picture. He continues to explore film music through original scoring and re-scoring studies, with a growing focus on creating emotionally driven music for visual media.
Alongside his work as a composer and artist, Likhith is passionate about music education and shares his knowledge of piano, Western music theory, and composition through teaching and online content.
He continues to build his career across songwriting, independent music, film scoring, live performance, composition, and music education, bringing together his experience as a performer with his evolving voice as a songwriter and composer.
